Concept Design

This is where ideas get to be ideas before the world has decided what they are yet.

The projects here are case studies in futures that haven't happened — explorations of how people might interact with augmented reality, how headphones could become something more like a personal mode of being, how sleep technology might actually earn a place in someone's nightly ritual. Some of these concepts were built for internal alignment, others for user resonance testing, and a few just to provoke a good argument.

The through-line is a belief that good concept work isn't just about generating possibilities — it's about making the abstract concrete enough that teams can react to it, test it, and build on it. Whether that means an animatic, a storyboard, a prototype video, or a speculative design piece that asks an uncomfortable question, the goal is always the same: get everyone in the room looking at the same thing.

Projects span gestural AR interfaces, headphone paradigm research, Disney + Bose spatial audio experiences, musical taste visualization, and more.

Project Gemini

Gemini is a gestural user interface designed for all-day wearables — an exploration into what ambient, screen-less interaction could look like when audio and motion take center stage.

Patterns in Headphone Usage

As part of the Bose Labs organization, I lead an effort to see how we might convert contextual usage patterns into our products to streamline transitions between use cases for our customers.

Concept Video for Beside Sleep Product

A concept video abstract that sets the context for Jobs to be done, and how we might use this product’s features to help our user’s achieve their sleep goals.

Headphones 2.0 Concept Animatics

Creating assets for internal alignment and external user resonance testing, on concepts we developed for the future of audio wearable devices.

Disney + Bose AR

Concept storybook detailing Augmented Reality experiences within Disney Parks

AR Concept Prototyping

An exercise in objectifying the subjective to help my team align on conceptual directions as quickly as possible.

Music Taste Profiling

An exploration in the identification and visualization of a user’s musical taste, and how it might be productized within a mobile application
